    Dear Raphael,

I used to export to ProRes or ProRes HQ, but doing so SCREWS with my yellows.

I have no idea why …

So, whenever I got sick and tired of ProRes distorting my yellows, I found HDV.

I have never had a problem with it : am I missing something?

    Hello!

I’ve been going to HDV, but I also tried it in other codecs like Apple ProRes, and it still looked horribly pixelated.

Why is red so bad?? Why does the COLOR affect the pixelation?

    Thanks, Noah.

For reasons I don’t understand, the font looks beautiful in white —- terrible in red, good in white, and a few other colors —- this is nuts!! (isn’t it?)

I am sad, because I’ve tried to do this numerous times, but it still looks bad: https://lalemantpolyphonic.org/00_temp/still_bad.jpg

I would love to know how to FORCE FCP to auto render the light green —- currently, I have to just leave FCP running for like an hour to get it to do that.

I did not install those drivers. I don’t know anything about that (but would like to learn more!)

I went ahead and installed Quick Time Pro and it solved the problem!!!

Does everyone here adhere to this religiously?

    Quick Time Pro FCP

My current settings don’t match up (we have a more recent version of QT Pro) but it appears to be working fine. (?)

I feel that, if you can convert to .mov file using the ProRes codec, you will not have to render, ever again! Yay!

This error is also happening to me on a 45-minute sequence with lots of MOTION files and it is KILLING me. KILLING me. Constant crashes. Slowness. I have quadcore Mac

May I please tell you what I am doing, at the moment?

I am opening every single Motion file (in Motion) and exporting it.

Then I am going into FCP and replacing the motion file with this new .MOV file.

Then, I’m going to use Media Manager to try to “get rid” of all the old motion files.

Do you think this will work???
