Avid supports many formats. Is what is need to do is save in Photoshop the edited pictures as an alpha channel…would that be saved as an jpeg or other format?

Thanks for you help…I’m still not sure if I understand what to do.

    Hey Michael,

Thanks for your response. I still don’t get it. Ok, from the timeline do I need to export the project via QT and then import that QT file into Sorenson? Am I to set the encoders manualy in the QT export settings..if so I fail to find the “maintain aspect ratio” deselect button…also where is the x and y settings you refer to located..in Sorenson Squeeze? So, if I do the above..QT to Sorenson then do I use Avid DVD program to burn the dvd using the Sorenson file as the media to import to Avid DVD?

I know I am a pain man…but I really need to figure this out..I really do appreciate your help…a lot!!!

Thanks again man! I guess I need to buckle down and find learn where to make these adjustments on Avid. I have been an Avid user for several years. Thought.. “I knew more I know”! I appreciate your thoughts…wish you were here to walk me through the tools I need to do this with. I guess the info is the those darn manuals some where between the book covers. Is the a tutorial I can get a hold of to help shorten up my learning curve some where?

Was great that you responded…one day I hope I grow up and be able to help someone with their problems too!

    Thanks.

The main problem I have is that my audio is to hot and they seem to think I can export it at a lower dB level and I am having trouble knowing how to set and where I need to set perhaps a preset or somethin in order to get the audio at a -8db for them. I have been providing the commercials via QT mov or on a dvd but they say have to do extra work to get the audio at a lower level than I am giving them currenly. This is new to me because I have never had a problem ajusting the audio on other things like wedding and such. to be pleasing to the ear before I make a dvd I am using the audio mixing tool to lower volume. Thnaks!
