    Shane,

We are all using premiere. They are on Macs, I am on PC.

I will be making proxy files and uploading them via ftp. All the files original files will be placed on mac formatted drives via Macdrive. I will get them the original files when we are done shooting. Im just not certain which proxy export to use that is friendly for all of us.

Also, any notes about our workflow plans are appreciated. You have helped me so many times. Thank you for everything Shane.

Thanks for taking the time to so carefully consider my question.

I am following 2 players throughout a season of a sporting event. Those characters rise and fall in the rankings during the film and end up eking by and getting into the finals tournament. I intend on making the page and nameplates 3d and then using the camera to follow each nameplate as it pops out of its placement and lands into a new placement eg. 16th position to 19th. and so on. I will only show a wide shot of the list at the beginning of the film but again I would probably make the page 3d and use a camera move for this as well.

    Thanks,

    Best,

  • Pat,

Thanks so much. I was hoping for something this simple. On the other side, when I hand him this bin is there an equally simple way of gathering those files or does he have to go in and reveal file for everything and then copy paste?

  • I was afraid of that.

    Thanks a bunch.

It appears that I solved this problem. However, I don’t understand how.

The only files that were running choppy were files shot on the c300 (XF files).

I downloaded the new ama link for it and it appears that I have solved the issue. I just don’t understand why it worked. All the files I was running were consolidated into the preferred .mxf files that Avid loves so dearly.

Why would the ama link update for canon fix such a thing? Weren’t those files converted and no longer being referenced via ama link?

Thank you. I just performed a test bin with the steps you laid out and it worked perfectly.

    Thank you so much guys.

What about the subclips I have made. Do I place them in that bin as well?
