I found a clunky work-around.

1. Select clip in timeline. Hit “F” to load into source monitor
2. Select “Effect Control” tab. Right click effect to copy
3. Select new edit in time time. Hit “F” to load into source monitor
4. Select “Effect Control” tab. Paste effect.

Hopefully this can be simplified!

It probably can be done in X-Particles, but if I were tasked with creating this, I’d look into using Trapcode Form as another option if you’re familiar with After Effects.

The Animation codec only supports 8-bit color space. Use ProRes 422 or 444 instead; these support 10-bit color space.

No need to upgrade for this feature. It’s available right now in all CC Premiere versions.
*Edit* CC2015 doesn’t have to import the assets, other versions do.

I believe I posted the wrong link to fix your edit. You need the “Standards Converter” not “Film Effects”

Download a free trial and take it for a spin. It should solve all your issues. You will need to put the effects on each clip, in a 24p (23.976) timeline. It will handle the 60i footage too.

Check carefully for small gaps in your timeline after dropping all you clips into the new sequence.

Since the pulldown cadence is different between each edit point, there is no global way to correctly remove the pulldown. You’ll have to fix it on an individual clip basis with Nattress Film Effects:

Make sure your FCP project isn’t larger than 100MB. If it is, delete some unused sequences and media from your project.

Other causes: mp4 or h.264 footage anywhere in you timeline. Stills in CMYK color space instead of RGB.

Thanks Tim,
I tried the terminal command, and SMB is still much slower than AFP.

I’ll probably end up calling support modifying the BruTab file as you’ve suggested as a work-around.

I’ll test this when I can. Should this be entered in the terminal on both computers or just the BRU machine?
