Hey guys- I’ve posted this in the support forums over at X Particles- but unfortunately haven’t had any replies-

What I’m trying might not be possible with x particles- but I’m trying to recreate this image for animation purposes- I wondered if any advanced users could maybe point me in the right direction? I’d say I’m moderately acquainted with the plugin (very comfortable in Cinema 4D) but I’ve been striking out on this one! Any wisdom on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Will

It probably can be done in X-Particles, but if I were tasked with creating this, I’d look into using Trapcode Form as another option if you’re familiar with After Effects.

Thanks John. I was actually thinking along those same lines (sort of)- I think I’m going to try it out with MIR- I’ve had it for a few months but haven’t had a chance to get into yet. This could be the excuse I need…

    I appreciate your advice!

I’ve still got some tweaking to do with this- but I’m not going to lie… I’m really pumped about trapcode MIR!
I just need to try and ‘loosen’ it up a little I think. The original is on the left- MIR on the right
