    Ok, the results are:

We found that in Final Cut, the Sony XDcam easy setup settings were not showing up. So we fixed that issue so the sequence would match the render I sent him(Sony XDCAM EX 1080i60 VBR). Also I did re render using xdcam ex 35mbps settings as suggested. Still would not work!

Downloaded the sony log and transfer plug-in. Still did not work!

Downloaded the P2CMU. Still did not work!

One thing that we can’t figure out is the clip is on his desk top, and it doesn’t show any file association with quicktime. So is there a codec missing or something?

Now all this aside I tested sending the 35mbps .mxf file to Adobe Premier and it worked perfect! It wouldn’t recognize the 50mbps file.

    John,

Yep, we’ve tried it all. I’m reading now about Calibrator and MXF4QT Import. Guess the real problem is when you render a .mxf file from Vegas is there is no file structure like there is from the camera and this is whats causing the import problems?

    John,

Yes we download the utility plug-in. Did everything as Douglas stated in the tutorial. This is what shows up on the MAC:

    Thanks,
