    Moderators,

I have post notifications sent to my phone and really enjoy it. One thing I was wondering is if you can pull the topic of the post and place that in the subject of the email? As of right now you really don’t know what subject is without having to open each one. Not being picky, just curious.

    Thanks,

    John

I would send an email to the webmaster here at the COW. This is very useful feedback that I’m sure they will want to consider for mobile users.

    Hello,

Perhaps I’m not following but I believe the subject of the post is included in the subject of the email. If you are talking about the hourly / daily digest of subscriptions then there are generally multiple posts in the email which wouldn’t lend itself to having a single post / thread become the subject.

    Abraham,

When the notification comes in it shows from and subject.

    In the from: COW Notifications.
In the email subject: Creative COW Subscriptions.

I’m not talking about every response, just when the topic is made.

    Thanks,

    John

The system you are referring to with the subject line “Creative COW Subscriptions” is a mailing service that can be received hourly or daily and gives you a list of new threads for users or forums you’ve subscribed to. As mentioned previously this would not lend itself to having the subject line of one post. If the notice you are receiving only has one post in it that would be because that is the only new post for your subscription.
