Consider upgrading your CPU only. I have a DELL which started life in 2001 with a 1.4GHz Pentium 4, and I upgraded it to the max the motherboard could take, which was a 2.6GHz Pentium 4 and the difference in render speed is just about what the math indicates. Your PC seems to have plenty of RAM; in my opinion about double the amount you need, if you dedicate the PC exclusively during rendering.
The point made about editing vs. rendering time is an important one! -

I have a little Wacom 3.5 x 5″ tablet Model CTE430 for which I’ve lost the manual. The pen works fine, but I can’t make either the little rocker-clicker, nor the knob on the opposite end of the pen do anything. Using Corel Draw, Photopaint, Painter IX. Any suggestions?
