I had a problem with sync shooting a live act where the fixed wide cam got audio from both the house board and a couple of my mics out by the camera. The camera was way back so the sync between the stage action and house sound and mic sound was slightly off due to the distance of the camera from the stage and the time it took the sound to travel from front to the back mics. As the offset was constant it wasn’t a big deal. It was only a couple of frames and it was fixed by sliding the track. It took me a while to figure out what was happening.

iZotope’s RX3 has a Deverb filter (it may only be in RX3 Advanced) that might help. In addition to Mark’s suggestion you can try adding a bit of eq in the 200-400Hz range to add some warmth and body as long as that doesn’t exacerbate the issue. And you can try sweeping the frequencies with a parametric eq with a narrow Q that’s set to maximum cut to see if you can find a freq that decreases the offending sound. If you find the spot, then adjust the eq cut so you just start hearing the improvement. Don’t cut too much.

Unfortunately, it’s a very manual process. The advantage of having the markers in the file is you don’t have to link to 25 different pieces of media. It’s always a pain and I have to constantly check that I haven’t missed a link or how the remote control buttons act with the menus as someone scrolls up and down and left and right.

I do this in a couple of ways. The first menu is organized with links to sub menus which hold all the chapters. You use as many sub menus as needed. I always place next and previous buttons at the bottom of each sub menu for easier navigation. The second way is just to start with chapters 1 to whatever fits on one page and continue that way to the last chapter. Again, always with next and previous buttons. Hope this helps.

It’s been a while for me, too. I had to fire up FCP7. When you export your video from FCP, in the Markers selection there’s a DVD Studio Pro Markers selection. I believe that includes all the markers you can set. But, there’s also a selection for just chapter markers.
