Keylight and other keyers usually have Spill Suppression parameters that can reduce green spill. Also, you can add multiple instances of the keyer and restrict their area of coverage. That way you can address trouble spots more effectively.

I usually use Compressor, but MPEG Streamclip also gives good results. I have Sorenson Squeeze 9, but have never tried it for this. I suspect it’d do a good job, too.

If you edited with H.264 media in FCP, that is probably the reason. H.264 is not an edit format in FCP. You should convert to ProRes before the edit. Try that with one or two clips and see how the transitions look.

I don’t have the camera in front of me, but there’s a setting in the last menu (I think) for the lense. It’s set one way for lenses that communicate with the camera, and set the other way for manual lenses. If that was set wrong you will see nothing – just as you describe.

This sounds like your 2 tracks are out of phase with each other. That leads to major cancellation especially in the lower frequencies. I don’t remember if there’s a way to reverse phase in Soundtrack Pro or FCP. Consoles and many audio plugins have phase reversal switches. If you can’t find that, and need more gain, copy one of the tracks and paste it back into the sequence. If it works with just the one track, you’re good to go. This is why mic placement is so critical. Read this article about the Rule of 3s and phase cancellation if you want a more detailed explanation.

I’m not 100% sure of this, but I think you want the second device to draw the same as the Diva as the current will be the same through both. You phone charger might blow out if the Diva drew much more current than the charger. A second Diva or instrument of any kind with nearly the same wattage should work.

I usually turn on Frame Controls and choose the highest quality in relevant fields. In your case de-interlacing and possibly resizing. I also push the data rate as high as 30mbps for HD.
