I’ve not tried this, but recall seeing it in a thread. If you have Soundtrack Pro, there’s a filter you get to through the Process Menu > Effects > Dynamics > Enveloper > User Presets > Roomkiller. It sounded like a fancy noise gate. As mentioned above, echo/reverb can’t be removed.

Why not shoot your field background scene first, and then shoot on a stage. Are you thing of having the green screen on the street to get shots of the foreground people crossing? That would be extremely hard to light and control. If you can get some extras, shoot them against green on the stage (or any controlled area as sound doesn’t appear to be an issue). Lastly shoot the actor on green. You’ll have two greenscreen shots with which to composite your scene. The challenge will be to light the greenscreen extras & actor to match the background.

I had another thought. Have you trashed FCP prefs and repaired permissions on your system drive? You could also trash Compressor’s prefs. Here a link that can help with Compressor problems.

Daniel, I’m not a code guy so I don’t know what that error means. Access might mean memory or drive. If your 8-bit export works, I’d use that. You probably won’t lose too much quality compared to 10-bit unless you have lots of colored areas where you might see banding occur. You might try re-posting with EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)-HELP in the title.

Please explain more specifically what you’re trying to do. Why you think a green screen will help as opposed to simply shooting the actors on location. Why different frame rates? Is this for effect as in over or under-cranking?

Color would do this fairly easily using vignettes (in Secondaries Room) and motion tracker (in Geometry Room). If you’re not using Color yet, get Walter Biscardi’s excellent tutorial.
