Check in the Log & Transfer preferences and see if there is a check next to “Remove advanced pulldown and Duplicate Frames.” If there is try unchecking it and see if that helps. Also, I believe the HVX200 has a Repair Clip function you can try.

The problem with changing .flv to .mov IMHO is you’d then have an H.264 file which is not an edit codec. You still have to convert to ProRes or other format to edit. Don’t forget to make sure your audio sample rate is 48kHz, not 44.1kHz.

If you’re not taking advantage of the speed increase in Compressor afforded by Qmaster, checkout this link on how to set it up. Most folks seem to think 4 is the correct number of instances.

We have both an IO and Kona. All analog in/out goes between the two using sdi. This is particularly useful for uprezing sd to hd.

I’ve transcoded many Flip files and I’ve always used Compressor. By using Frame Controls I feel I get higher-quality encodes. I haven’t compared Compressor to Streamclip speed-wise, but using multiple cores Compressor has been fast enough for me.

You need a capture card with analog inputs to capture the audio.

In User Prefs > Editing tab see if “Always scale clips to project size” is checked. That might be the cause.

Also try a mixdown audio: Sequence Menu > Render Only > Mixdown. What’s the sample rate of your audio 44.1kHz or 48kHz?
