There should be a “random start frame” under the emitter as well. Four button from the bottom, just above, “show particles as” pull down. Which version are you running? I’m using 2.12

In the Inspector – Replicator tab. There is a check box called, Random Start Frame. Check if it is checked. Page 606 & 671 of the Motion User Manual.

    Good Luck,

    Hi Matt,

I’m sure you have render this file out a couple of times. Does the green flicker show up in the same spot? If it does, maybe try hiding one layer and rendering it out. Repeat, hiding different layers. Maybe you have a corrupt file.

If you are using FCP, does your settings match?

    Good luck,

    John

Try “Spout” under the Particle Emitter. Bring up the Birth Rate, Speed & Speed Range.

    Good Luck

    Hi Shawn,

Try loading the Igniter preset for MJPEGA on the machine with the IO box. It is located under library-application support-FCP system support-custom settings. I used the Igniter NTSC 10M/sec setting and it seemed to play fine, although I had to render the clip. I hope this helps. Good luck.
