You can place all your masks on one layer. Just create your mask in it’s final position. Twirl open the “Mask 1” and set a keyframe from “Mask Path”. Now move the Current Time Indicator(CTI) to where you want your mask animation to start and move the “Mask 1” to it’s starting location. AE should automatically add a starting keyframe for your animation. Repeat for all the other masks.

I really don’t know what would cause that. I don’t have or have ever really used Psunami, and honestly I’m much better at figuring out how to create shots than figuring out computer issues.

I don’t know Psunami but just looking at the description of the product it looks like there is a virtual camera or the ability to create and use composition camera so you can change the viewing angle.

Complete camera control
Fly your camera in 3D space above the water, on the water’s surface, or even below the water for the ultimate in realism. Psunami sets the tilt, pan, roll and elevation for waves and swells. Use Field of View to show surface detail or Bobbing Platform to activate a virtual floating camera.

You can easily accomplish this with the Transition -> Card Wipe. Create your lower third, bkg & text and precomp it. Now apply Card Wipe to your lower third. First set the “Back Layer” to “None” You will have decide how many “Rows” you need depending on the look you are trying to achieve. Set the “Columns” to 1. Change the Flip order to Bottom to “Bottom to Top”. Now just keyframe the transition completion from 100% to 0%.

To set your render region, Press “B” to set where you want your render to start, “N” for where it finishes. Import the completed render and layer it over the existing movie.

I would suggest rendering to a lossless codec like Animation and match the frame rate and size of your existing movie.

Here’s my attempt at trying to create the fold. What I did was moved my axis point first, rotated the page -45 degrees, then moved it into place in the top corner, then made a mask that fit into that corner.

Just learned this today, courtesy of Roland. Open up your text and before your tracking animator, add the animator Line Anchor(if you already have your tracking applied, just grab the “Animator #”(Line Anchor) and move above it in the order). Now just move the line anchor to determine where the tracking occurs…0% will start from left, 100% the right.

There are probably a few ways to do this. But here is one method.

Step 1: Set your globe/earth layer to 3d. Add your text layer. Change the mask tool to circular, start from the center of your globe, press shift + cntl and make a mask on your text layer a bit larger than the globe—the diameter should be how far away you want your text to orbit the earth/globe.

Step 2: Twirl open your text and under the animate flyout choose “Enable Per-character 3d”. Twirl down text and open up “Path Options” and choose Mask 1. Press “Shift+R” for rotation and rotate the text layer -90 degrees on the x-axis. Move back to your text animators and select Animate -> Rotation. For Animator 1, change the X Rotation to 90 degrees.

03 Final: Go back to the “Path Options” and use “First Margin” to rotate the text around your object. Add some lights, shadows to taste.
