You might be able to do that with the Echo effect.

Try creating a fractal noise pattern in a precomp, dump it in the final comp. And then apply a displacement layer effect to your text and point it at the fractal noise pattern.

I would mess with the free presets you get with AE listed under BadTV. There are some plugins you can also purchase that simplify the process, but they are just doing things that can be done natively in AE. A few can be found at AEScripts. Also check out the Twitch plugin, I’ve never used it, but I believe it can take care of almost all your distortion, bad tv, jumpy smeared effects.

First one uses a lot of the techniques of a Simulated Whip Pan. Check out some of these TUTORIALS for how to do it.

Dave is right that a sound for each day would be pretty extensive and probably not distinguishable. If you figure out that part, I would just take a sound file and drop it in a precomp and make it the length of one day. Add it to your final comp and enable time remapping, alt+click the keyframes to create an expression and just add the loop expression

Sorry, no way around this. You could probably rebuild a lot of the animation using the shape layer animation properties, but I doubt that is the answer you are looking for.

Been thinking about the water splash and that’s going to be really difficult to pull off. If you have Trapcode Particular, i came across this tutorial some time ago and created the best water splash I had seen in AE. https://vimeo.com/64337607

Otherwise, I think from a time vs cost analysis, you might be better served checking out the stock footage sites to see if there is some thing you can use or shoot something yourself and just composite it together in AE.

Is the Arrow a precomp, because the transformations may be located inside the precomp. If not, can you post a screen grab of the arrow. Click the arrow layer and press “U” to open all items that have been changed from defaults.

Take a look at the 3D animate in presets. Some of those might work as is. Or you could make your own, this is a quick attempt at recreating the illusion entrance, without any distort effects.
