If you are on a Mac, I assume, the OS is not letting Resolve write to the hard drive to make the database.

Go to finder and on the macintosh HD icon, right click and choose “get info”

Unlock the padlock icon in the lower right hand corner with your user password to make changes

Change the access for “everyone” to read&write and relock the padlock

Run Resolve again and it should allow you to make a database.

I assume this will work on either Mac or Windows versions of both programs since it’s just an XML file?

Joseph – Yeah. I noticed the various built in audio and video monitors when I checked out the Flanders and wondered if they were useful above/beyond those already present in the system. The specs on the 24 are pretty amazing.

Does the TVM-900 provide YRGB parade?

    Thanks for the info.

I read the similar thread regarding the vectorscope issues in the Apple Color forum (https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/223/19838) and my copy of Color Correction Handbook: Professional Techniques for Video and Cinema has already been ordered.

With that in mind, what is your recommendation for using Resolve and getting the color right? I went to the Harris site to check out their products. Is there a particular Harris product that would fit the bill? (YRGB parade?)

    Thanks again for the info.

Is Resolve able to use DNxHD files created by the HyperDeck Shuttle with the new firmware that allows the video and audio files to be wrapped in a .mov file?
