Hi Guys and Girls.. I completely removed BORIS RED and re-installed. The PEN Nib is back in the top row so that’s good. BUT when I added the two Movies and then clicked the PEN Nib in the horizontal TOOL bar it add SPLINE Track and if I expand it the neck line is MASK and then TRANSFORMATION and then FACE which is great. When I try it a second time with a New project the order is SPLINE Track, MASK, TRANSFORMATION, PATH. I can’t get the PATH to change to FACE. I realise I am completely missing something simple here but unless I reinstall every time I can never get PATH to change to FACE.

  • Hello.. many thanks.. The CONTROL window was not displayed so I did not know it existed……..I looked in the WINDOWS help and it was unticked. So now I can see the Dials.. many thanks.. It is easy when you know how 🙂

  • Hello Rafael. Many thanks for the information…I will do some searching to find such a card but if you can give me a hint of one that works in that was it would be most useful. Tha facility to see on a Full TV screen the same image that is in the small Preview display would solve my problem. Thanks again John

July 24, 2011 at 11:12 am in reply to: Mac Tower V Intel PC – Same Video Performance ????

Hello Greg. It is not that he does not like MAC, but it is trying to maintain the same VIDEO Preview experience he is getting with the Media100 card. As he is semi retired from his Video Studio business, then any investment to update his old MAC system is now just for the old few requests he gets to produce videos and a new quad core Tower MAC will also need a new Graphics capture card to maintain the same Instant preview that Media100 provides and it almost renders in real time and the latest Media100 software which is almost twice the cost of VEGAS,,

I only have a Core Duo Intel system which is fine for the small amount of work I get and to Pre-render stuff to get an idea of the final quality is not to much of a pain but when you have been used to almost Instant Preview quality, the questing is,,,,,,, How does an Ii7 with suitable ram and 64bit OS perform in the preview mode if it is not pre rendered. If only I new someone local who had such a system that a quick eyeball would tell me straight away. As I say .. he likes his MAC but not the considerable cost investment for what is more of a hobby than his business. Many thanks for your reply.. Regards John

The way I overcome it was to make the project with the frame rate @ 100 FPS ( or any higher number ) , None Progressive scan – Blend fields and then the timeline images set Reduce interlace flicker and Non Progressive and render as None progressive with 60 FPS and it is very smooth. Using standard FPS in the project is jerky. Worth a try for you John
