Hi James.. It is a bit of a change.. It seems that if you Click and Hold the Video Preview TAB at the bottom Left of the PREVIEW Windows area and PULL it DOWNWARDS it undocks. If you try and drag it Left or right before pulling the TAP downwards it will not move.. That’s how it seem to be working on mine.. Why it has been change is not really useful …This also seem to apply to all the other TABS ( Media Generator, Video FX, etc ) Give it a try.

Hello Rich. Much appreciate the information…Yes we have a very ancient MAC G4 tower which runs Media 100. I am not sure what the version is but it was bought many years ago and was limited to only 2 audio channels. At some time my friend who has a small studio decided to get an update trial version with more audio channels which according to his original email to BORIX ( —–Original Message—–)

We did manage to un-archive some old emails and found the Unlock code but could not download from the original link provided and I guess things have more on a bit…..

We will give it a try and if all fails I hope you may be able to give us some guidance.

Will me need a Trail code? for the install

Hello … Many thanks for taking the time to reply.. We did in fact email Mike and he sent the wrong link. When asked to supply the correct link nothing was heard. It has been over two weeks now. He has been sent all the various details of Licence number and download requirements but fell on deaf ears… I can’t believe a company such a BORIS treat queries so bad.

I have a similar problem with another program. When I took the Laptop apart the little cooling grills that the fan blows though was completely clog.. mainly because I use it on my lap and it such in any small bits of fluff like a vacuum cleaner.

I initially checked the air flow by putting my mouth against the air outlet grill on the outside of the laptop and blew hard. A large cloud of fluff came out the Intake area underneath the laptop.. I am not actually recommending you do this but it is a quick check,,,,,,

is it possible to take short video with your drone ( maybe a couple of minutes fast and slow moving ) and upload it so I/We can download original video and have a close look at it.

Can you provide us with the Media format you are using and what render settings.

If you use the utility called MediaInfo https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo , let us know what the various details are.

With this it will be clearer as to the issue as normally most YouTube videos are relatively pixelated free..

hahah.. yeah is a bit old but does the job quite well….and as you say.. if it isn’t broke…….. The only reason he wanted to upgrade was the Slow Mo it is bit poor ( unlike Twixtor in Vegas ☺ )

He even has an older MAC running Media 100 which work very well but was limited to only 2 audio channels. We did update that version of Media 100 but was very buggy so decided to go to a G5 and FCP 7 a few years ago..

The only other pain is the Sony cam he has is HDV 1440x1080i and trying to get the right project settings and capture setting correct is a bit of a nightmare as various tutorials on it do not seem to get the correct result. I think it is because if it is down scaled in the cam to I-link then the settings used are DV – PAL anamorphic but at HDV is seems it is not. Don’t have this problem with Vegas,,,,,,,,,,,

Been using SV for years but never had a MAC but help a friend with his production on FCP 7..

Have read somewhere that EI Capitan can be used it you use a different Boot loader on Models 2006/2007.

Not quite sure how this works or how it is implemented..
