Place the two pieces of media one above the other on the timeline ///
You use the Event/Pan Crop selection and select the Mask Tick box at the bottom left. Then draw around the section you want to see and then select Feather Out or In to soften the centre edges. Do the same for the other timeline media. You can re-position the media using Track Motion.. Hope this helps -
You can either do a Right mouse click on in the Left hand pane and select Add a Track or just drag you video clip into the Timeline are and it will add one for you…..

Yes it is a different version from the Pro. The Slider scale numbers are less than the Pro version. Unfortunately I don’t have Movie Studio..

Do you mean the Preview goes BLANK ( black ) or does it hang with images that don’t move?

I don’t recall ever seeing the word MUTE in V14. It is there on V15. Maybe you are not seeing all of the top of the Master Audio Window..

After you selected Source B ( I assume you have put the added image below the Tracked image) , have you Unticked the Track on the Fly and Show Motion Path as the B source will not show if these are still ticked…
