Try using and training your clients on Adobe Clipnotes. It will make your job a LOT easier, (if they use it properly).

    Cheers.

    I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Hostmonster.com.

Unlimited bandwidth, unlimited hosting space, great cpanel goodies, unlimited email accounts, great service, and did I mention low rates.

    Cheers

    Here’s an ‘almost’ disaster story.

Spent the entire night working on a project that the client was picking up at 7:30 am to take with them on a business trip that morning.

About 5:30 I’m set to export the time line and I get a ‘the project is corrupted’ error message on my screen. Shutdown, reboot, couldn’t open the project file. A real sphincter moment.

I got out of my chair, on my knees on the floor curled up in a ball asking the powers of the universe ‘why me’? 10 hours of work gone in a microsecond.

Fortunately I had ‘auto save’ on, found the backup file and ended up only losing 15 minutes of editing. It reinforced my mantra of auto save, backup. Auto save, backup……….

We’re using Dual AMD Opterons on an XP64 machine and a system using an Intel Core2Quad running Vista Ultimate 64 and both are working without any problems.

Sorry to say that I was unsuccessful in my efforts to work around Adobe’s locks. I suppose someone who is a database guru might know of a solution.

    Cheers.

I haven’t tried it yet but since the data is in XML format, and you have the header information, you might try creating a PDF form, (if you have Acrobat 8 or 9 professional version), with fields that mirror the header information from your clipnotes file.

This way, you might be able to import the xml data from clipnotes.

I’ll try it over the next few days and let you know how it works out.

I use Illustrator files in my AfterEffects compositions. Can’t say enough how I love the ability to zoom in when needed and retain razor sharp edges. Between PhotoShop and Illustrator, ya got all bases covered.

    “hidden terms”?

Easy, just triple the price and tell them it’s part of the hidden terms.

I have a good signal on my Firewire from PremierePro CS3 timeline. Going into the DVM700 DV in, I see the 1394 PC displayed on my monitor connected to the 700 but it’s telling me that there is no signal when I know if fact that there is.

JVC in the USA is useless also. Guess I’ll know better when we uypgrade our equipment this year, JVC had a shot at selling us new cameras but they’re out of the running now.
