16mm to digital conversion
Is there any products on the market that can convert 16mm film to digital such as DVD? The product would need to be fairly low cost under $1000 and produce decent enough results to use the footage in corporate videos. I have about 100 16mm reels of historical footage from a manufacturing company including high speed motion capture that was filmed for the aviation industry and company events from the 1960’s – 1980’s.
It is cost prohibitive to send out in these economic times and I am looking for a method that a non video expert can operate. I don’t want to video tape a projected video on a screen.
Any thoughts are appreciated. I am a corporate photographer so I am posting in this area.
