    Here’s an interesting twist. When the photographer shot the photos, was he doing so on a work for hire basis or does he own the copyright to the photos?

    Also, since the photos used in the yearbook were part of a profitable enterprise, was the photoghrapher required to obtain model releases from everyone appearing in the yearbook?

    A proposal is really nothing more than a statement of the work that you will do, how much you will be paid, when you will be paid, and addresses the copyrights.

    Why not rent one of those small lipstic cams that can be attached to a headband and put it on the dentist? That way you’ll see what he/she is looking at.

    I would suggest that you charge the client for doing the artwork and great menus. Afterall, if you didn’t do it, the client would have to hire a graphic artist to do it.

    As for putting your name on the media, it’s a good thing to get the client’s permission first, after all, it is their project. I used to put a three second black video clips after the clients video and then my logo at the tail end.

    You might consider trading your graphics expertise for exposure on the client’s media.
