I just got back from holiday break and found this one last present that Santa Simon left under the tree!

Thanks so much – I will be trying this out today!!!

I’ll give that a try too.

Basically I’m looking for a transition, like Swap, that I can hold midway through to get a side by side (or pseudo PIP) for a period of time. Then reverse the transition to bring the main video back to full screen.

Apple uses something like this during their keynote events.

Keyframing this in and out transition dozens of times through a two hour video is extremely time consuming so I’m hoping there is an easier way.

Great, thank you! I’ll be using this to recreate the PiP style that Apple uses during their keynotes and product announcements.

It’s going to be a lot of key framing so if you know of an easier to accomplish this effect, please please please, let me know!

Thanks, I double clicked it to install and it opened in Motion so I saved it as FCP fx. I’m very new to this so I wasn’t sure exactly where it went when I saved it.

I narrowed my FCP X crash triggers down to a four specific projects. Each of those projects used the effect on different overlapping video layers.

I’m not 100% sure if the effect was the cause of my issue but FCP tech support suggested I remove it along with some 3rd party fonts to try to eliminate the crashes.

The effect and fonts have been removed but I still can’t use these projects without crashing. Their only suggestion was to start over.

Thanks for your help. Your effects looked great and had everything I needed. I can’t believe Apple left something that basic out of their program.

PLEASE HELP – How can I remove this?

I had installed it and applied to multiple video tracks in a project. Ever since, FCPX has been crashing constantly.

I can no longer render my projects and need to find a way to get a stable platform again.
