We shot it on the sony f3. But it came from the cameras backup folder so it’s in xdcam.

    Does that make sense?

  • No sir… didn’t work.

From everything I am reading, Vegas should play these files easily.

I did read something about AA Translator. Do I need to install it?

Mike, if you can get audio and video of this clip to play on Vegas, you have literally saved me a week or more or work! I threw it up on my ftp.

The files cane from an HDV camera 4 years ago… it was a sony, but can’t remember the exact camera. It was captured in FCP unfortunately. I copied the Format exactly below.

    FORMAT: HDV 1080i50,1888 x 1062, Millions
16-bit integer (Little Endian), Left, 48.000
    kHz
    16-bit Integer (Little Endian), Right,
    48.000 kHz,

I am using Vegas 10, but tried the trial version of 12 and it didn’t do any better.

I just updated quicktime so it is the most recent. As for what movie inspector says about them…? I have been using Vegas for years and have no idea what Movie Inspector is…

I did try to change the extension .mov to .mp4 and it was the same thing. Audio and no video.
