I had read enough of your XSAN stuff and your awesome timecode post to know you were a man of serious wit, so I was inclined to take it at face value and not have any offense taken. I am a fan of old stuff, but am enjoying finally disposing of useless junk… Now how can I use these NuVista cards in the XSAN – as a digitizer? I think I have a fibre nubus card in here somewhere…

I would like to build the gfx over the superblack in afx, as fcp introduces errors in the application of the aplha. If I can do the whole magilla in afx and render from FCP, I’m golden. I can get superblack into, through and out of FCP, but AFX is styming my efforts…

Hey Dave – I agree, and this is a file handed to me done this way, which I do not subscribe to in any way nor endorse… I do know how to do these things, but am very curious about the discrepancy between viewing the file in QT and AFX or FCP on the same box. I am trying to get the client to properly do the comps, but in the meantime I am wondering if anybody has seen this kind of strange frame delta between QT/AFX and FCP…
