Hi Doug, I have a FCP 7 or 6 file that I need converted to XML. Are you willing to do this for me as well and the many others you have helped? Here is the link https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/zn6c8athsb07v256vhwhk/MISUNDERSTOOD.fcp?rlkey=ympo282k1v2gr8qxajt8yh0t2&dl=0

I had installed the KONA LHE card in the 3rd expansion slot. In reading a few posts on the web, the 2nd slot was “preferred”. So I moved it and all worked well.

Please note that recently I had re-installed my 10.6.3 because, foolishly, I upgraded to 10.6.8 before I investigated if it was compatible with Media100. When I did the re-install I also installed the 9.0.5 AJA control panel. BEFORE the re-install, I was able to acquire without issue. It had been some time since I needed to acquire off tape. Yesterday I needed to do just that and the problem I listed appeared.

Whatever the actual reason or explanation, this worked for me. Hope this helps you if you are experiencing the same problem.

Michael you are 100% right. I should have known better and to check here before installing the upgrade. Lesson learned.

So I reinstalled MacOS to 10.6.3. I’ve upgraded to Suite 1.7.1. Now when I open up Media100 I get the error message ” Could not create the keyframe player because the Media 100 Suite System is lock up”.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Another example of waiting to upgrade software until it’s been tested. I have the Media100 suite version 1.6.1 on the following system

    Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 3.2 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 8
L2 Cache (per processor): 12 MB
    Memory: 8 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz

No matter what I try to play on Media 100 suite I get the error message “Could not play because of a bad video frame”.

Anyone have ANY suggestions? I promise to not update software again until I research that it’s been tested.

    Hi JIm,

I agree with you but I’ve looked on four Macs I have access to and none of them has a QuickTime folder in the library folder. I am running 10.5.8 and have ordered Snow Leopard which will arrive today. Soudns like something is amiss. Once again, thank you for all your help!!
