I think you can add a mask to the letters and animate it.Then make a snow layer above it.
well, here is a similar tutorial about such effect.maybe you can get some idea from it.

    https://bbs.hxsd.com.cn/post/view?bid=2&id=4229041&sty=1&tpg=1&ppg=1&age=0#4229041

It’s in Chinese, but don’t worry. What you need to do is just watching the pictures.
And you can replece the plugin in the tutorial with snow filter or particular,it is not necesuary.
    Wsh to be helpful.

  • For the first question, here are the steps:
open the position property in timeline window,go to the the first frame, select all the key frames, move them in the same time ,make the solid at the center of the comp at the first frame.

For the second question,I think your problem is that there is something wrong with your path, especially at the beginning of it.you need a smooth path.when you draw the mask, try the defult smooth path pen tool please.

For the third question.I’m sorry, it seems that there is a line missing! But in my original tutorial there is a line before the paragraph:”secondly, create a new comp and name it as MAIN.”

I’m sorry for having comfused you in my tutorial. If you still had any questions, post them, and I will reply to them as soon as I can.
    wish to be helpful.

  • Excuse me, but could you tell me what problem you had in animating the ribbon? Can you open the project file?

In my tutorial, the animation of the ribbons is decided by the motion of the little solid square in the step

I have just been back from work. Well, it seems I made a mistake in my expression. Thank you, Filip.

Now, I think what Riccardo wanted is to make the two circles work like a couple of gears. So I adjusted my expressions, now they look to be working better.

    1. Creat 2 circles. The bigger one will be named as

You can surely achieve it by means of expressions. Here are my suggestions:
