Encore does not support multiangle.

An override temporarily replaces the end action of the targeted object.
If you fully understand what that statement means, then you know how to use overrides. You may make a mistake here or there using them, but you should be able to fix it by examining all of your links and overrides.
If you don’t fully understand what that means, or you if you only think that you understand it, then overrides will cause you endless navigation troubles.
Even if you do understand overrides, most times whatever you are using them for can be accomplished more easily and cleanly using a combination of chapter end actions, chapter playlists, and playlists.

Using overrides if you don’t understand how they work will almost certainly create a mess.

Actually, Encore 2.0 can do this in a timeline- using chapter end actions.
It can also be done with chapter playlists.

How many chapter playlists have you got in total? What’s the number per timeline? Also, what’s in the playlist?
Outside of this single report, I have never, ever heard of the problem you are reporting with menu audio when 16 bit 48 kHz WAV stereo audio is used and transcoding is to AC3. And I’ve been monitoring these and other forums for well on 4 years now. I’m out of ideas on this one.

If you’re certain you have no overrides in your project, then I have no further suggestions. Maybe you can tell me more about your playlists.
So your menu audio is 16 bit 48 kHz WAV? What are you encoding the audio to? Where are you monitoring it after completion?

Make sure your menu audio is 16 bit 48 kHz stereo WAV, and remove any and all overrides from your project.

Thanks for posting the detailed wrap up, David.
However, there’s one small correction to your post that is worth making: If you are using Encore alone for DVD mastering, you MUST master to DLT. That’s as true now after your write up as it was before. That’s what I was saying previously, and what Jeff was saying as well.
What’s only partially true is you need GearPro to do this… although that would seem to be the wisest choice, especially if you’re paying for replication.

It’s very simple:
On your PC, put ‘MUSIC’ folder inside another folder named ‘ROM’ (it could be named anything).
In Encore, select ‘ROM’ folder as your DVD ROM folder. When you build a DVD, the structure will look like this:

MUSIC
