    Try again.

If I understand your problem correctly, you need to clear the end action of the first menu. Select this menu, go to the Properties panel, and clear its end action.

Make sure you read the Help files on how to work with the Flowchart- how to use it should be explained there.

Chapter Playlists in Encore can access all 99 chapters in a VTS.

  • Bryan, the technote you linked to is more concerned with the direction of transitions, and pointing out that some are invalid and that Encore will substitute valid directions, which may lead to a problem.

Thanks for the info- a little more clarification may help:

What is the duration of the WAV files?

Which transitions are being used? (including “direction”)

What app are you using to test the DVD folder?

  • Anyone have any other insights into this problem? It’s obviously not just me-

You’ve gotten a total of three replies before mine; two have not seen a problem, and one has. It may not obviously be just you, but then again, it just may be.

Care to provide more information about what you are seeing, like the files you’re using and the transitions?

October 7, 2006 at 10:38 pm in reply to: Menue Buttons not working properly

Button routing has nothing to do with button number.

It sounds like you need to manually route your buttons. Uncheck “Automatically Route Buttons” in Menu properties, then drag and drop each button routing arrow to the button you want it to take your viewer.

  • It is possible, but not in the way that you’re doing it now.

Instead of DVD markers in Premiere (which are used only for DVD authoring within Premiere), use regular sequence markers and enter a chapter name in the chapter field. More info is available for this in Premiere or Encore help.

It’s the only way in Encore. Note that DVDs are limited to a total of 1 GB of menu materials, so this doesn’t provide you with buttons over video for very long.

Going forward- those buttons should also be visible (and deletable) from Encore’s own Layers panel.

Are they set up to take you to the next chapter? That’s not necessary- remove them and the pause will be gone.

Did you use chapter end actions?
