I would not be using FCP for this. I would get a video switcher, audio mixer, a good stand alone DVD recorder and a DVD duplicator. This would be the fastest way to produce a quality DVD for sale right after the meeting takes place. FCP will only add time and headache to this type of production. B&H would be the best place to start looking for the video switcher.

Hi. He means that you cannot use that photograph without written permission and most likely without paying a fee to the owner of the photograph. This is a big issue with production companies. You cannot just use whatever you find in a production. Everything and I mean everything requires permission. Your best bet would be to try to contact the maker of the postcard and see what permissions and fees are necessary. If the fees are above what you can afford, you might want to look at royalty free images. There are a number of sources out there. I hope this helps.

Hello again: After looking at the AVID knowledge forums in avid.com’s support area, this seems to be a very large problem. Many people seem to be having this problem. I had to export a QT file and play it back through iMovie to make a DVCAM master. That was a first! I am glad my client was not around.

Thanks for the insight. I have never had the issue before. It happens on both short (4min.) and long (1hr 37min.) sequences randomly.

I think your problem maybe that you do not have enough space for the transition to take hold. My guess is that you imported two photos at let’s say 10 seconds each. You grabed them from the bin and placed them in the timeline. You didn’t give the images enough overlap. Set the in and out points at like 7 seconds for both photos and replace them into the timeline. That should fix the problem.

Thanks, that fixed the problem. 1:1 footage plays perfectly with the SATA Array.

I guess now that I have almost everything figured out with it, I am dissappointed in the component output. I now see the color differences.

Did the component output improve with MOJO SDI?

    Thanks for your help!
