I’ve noticed the same problem with the audio–trying to sync it up with video, it times out differently, depending on if I RAM preview or scrub it. Seems pretty random, but I changed the Comp window resolution to Full, and that seemed to fix it.

I agree. I think you hit the nail on the head. Great concept, effective idea, but horribly executed.

In a way, it’s good that his tutorials aren’t completly thorough and by the numbers. It kinda makes you think and figure out stuff on your own.

By the way, does anyone else think that cartoon effect, while cool and all, is inappropriate for Charles Schwab ads? Just seems a little gratuitous.

Thanks! It was right under my nose (or should I say Delete key) the whole time!

Speaking of useful shortcuts, does one exist for the Comp button on the edge of the timeline? It’s kind of a pain when you’re in a layer window and you have to find that little button to bring the Comp window back.

Hey. I noticed that too. I often have the same problem. It’s pretty annoying. Sometimes when I RAM preview, the audio cuts out before the end too. I usually just end up shutting AE down and reopening it.

Ah, i see you already tried Mask Expansion. Sorry, missed that.

If I understand you, you’re trying to change the scale of an animated mask and the problem is you can only change it for one keyframe at a time. I’ve had this problem too, but luckily each time there weren’t that many keyframes. I’m not sure, but maybe adjusting the Mask Expansion instead of the scale will work. That way you’re not messing with the keyframes at all.

    Hope that helps.
