Ahh. I figured out you have to export in pieces if you want AVI uncompressed.

Thanks Andros. I tried exporting to AVI uncompressed but it stops after about 7% and says Unable to export bin, File size too large. My project is about 10 minutes. Any ideas? Thanks again.

Composition>Make Movie>Safe Frame As>File. Then just choose file type in the Output module: Tiff, Jpeg, etc.

    Hope that helps,

Thanks for the help guys. I’ll try your ideas. This would be soooo much easier if my company would’ve just got Premiere and Encore!

Hey Michael thanks for the response. Yeah, I’m using CBR. I read that cropping 6 lines out of the 720×486 helps reduce the flicker, so I’ll try that too.

[Lauren] “‘ve just reconfigured my C drive. Deleted and reinstalled. Everything’s fine except, when I reinstalled the new version of Quicktime and tried to play a .mov, it gives me this error:

“There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive DeviceHarddisk2DR 9″

After clicking on the close button of that window 20 times, it closes and proceeds to play the video.”

I had this problem and to fix it I went under the Quicktime menu File> Open Recent> Clear Menu.

As far as demo reels go, I think the safest and most creative way to go is to shell out a few bucks and buy Acid Pro, (or even cheaper Acid Music Studio). They’re super easy to use. That way you can cater your music EXACTLY to fit your reel and not worry about copyright issues at all!
