    ive always made a freeze frame in final cut and exported the tiff and imported it into ae…but im sure theres a way to do it in ae right?…quick explination would be faboulous!..thanks in advance

    Composition>Make Movie>Safe Frame As>File. Then just choose file type in the Output module: Tiff, Jpeg, etc.

    Or time remapping
    just stretch out the one frame that you want over as long as you want, with a keyframe either side.
