    Hello,

I’ve just reconfigured my C drive. Deleted and reinstalled. Everything’s fine except, when I reinstalled the new version of Quicktime and tried to play a .mov, it gives me this error:

“There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive DeviceHarddisk2DR 9”

After clicking on the close button of that window 20 times, it closes and proceeds to play the video.

When I try to render something to quicktime in after effects, it doesn’t work.

This was not a problem before I reconfigured my C drive. I could render and play movies just fine. And I had Quicktime Pro 4.7.

Does anyone know what is going on here?

    Thanks,
    Lauren

Reinstalling quick time could fix the problem. And try to scan your computer for viruses. I recommend to get a newer version of QT ( I haved some problems to encode mpeg2 from .mov because i haven`t QT 6.5 or more installed )

I had this problem and to fix it I went under the Quicktime menu File> Open Recent> Clear Menu.
