I am rendering into the Media100 HD codec as of now. I will try a render into ProRes first thing on Monday when I get back to the system and post results. Thanks again Floh.

Floh,

Rendering out at 1280×720. If you are working with P2 footage in AE what is the workflow you use? I know its native @ 960×720 1.33 PAR, and if you bring in right into AE as MXF that’s what it comes in as. I am really stumped…

Media 100 does deal with does deal with the pulldown. We were working in AE for CC and because some of this footage needed to be scaled to end up in an SD comp. When you say the frames should hold up in AE the same way should be be working in a 59.94 or 29.97 comp and then rendering to 29.97 in order to maintain the more filmic motion?

Adj layer works … but am I crazy or did 2D nulls work prior to CS3? Really enjoyed your web presentation on your Fox Classics campaign, by the way!

Floh,

Thanks. That’s what I thought. Doesn’t FCP deal with this issue (meaning it is possible). Does Media 100 have an official “request” e-mail for stuff like this?

AE 8.0.2 added MXF import. Perhaps you are on 8.0.1?

Since its 10 bit acquisition @ 4:2:2 seems like a good codec to use in the field. I know if feels like flavor of the month…
