Why not upload both just for clarity. Save them as two separate C4D project files to be used in the next step.
After selecting “REPLY” click on the last symbol to the right below Message to upload each file (You can hover your cursor over each symbol to see what they do). Fill in the Title and Description boxes and click “Next.” You can then select the “Browse” button and find your file to upload. When the upload is complete (it will be very quick) click on “Finish” and then copy the link that it provides. Paste that link into your reply.

If you haven’t found a solution, post your project file. Without more info we’d only be guessing.
(The last update I had was Infinite Ocean 1.5.4)

Sure thing. I wish I could help more. Have you tried setting the Ray tracing to CPU? I have a 980Ti and was unable to get it to work with AE so I am just using the CPU. I’m on a Mac too, if that makes a difference.

I opened your project in AE CC2014 and the shadow is on and working.

You should be able to load a movie wherever you can load an image. Give it a shot.
