No Shadows in Element 3D Raytrace
Hello,
please help me. I have this simple scene in After Effects 2015 CC, with Element 3D v2.
I have created a simple sphere and plane scene (for a test) with one spot light and turned on shadows (light and material) but still there is no shadow at all.My card is gtx 1070, I did added it in AE CUDA list manually, and I have it turned on in the preview settings.
Could someone please download the file and let me know if the shadow is on?

I opened your project in AE CC2014 and the shadow is on and working.

So, now what should I do…. hm… I really don’t get it… Do you have any idea? I mean everything is working fine, no crashing no bugs or errors, just NO SHADOWS! hm ☺

Sure thing. I wish I could help more. Have you tried setting the Ray tracing to CPU? I have a 980Ti and was unable to get it to work with AE so I am just using the CPU. I’m on a Mac too, if that makes a difference.

Well that’s a great card 980Ti, I’m not sure why it doesn’t work.
Yes, I tried CPU still no shadows. I am downloading new nvidia drivers and we’ll see.

Ok, it’s nvidia drivers…. I’ve installed the older version 372.90 and now it’s working! yey 😉
