Unless I am misunderstanding your question, I don’t have a problem using a boole with clones of clones. Here I have used a boole (A intersect B) to create a path of flattened cubes made up of clones of clones intersecting with a capsule that has a bend deformer applied. Perhaps you could post your project file so that we could take a look at it.

Sorry, but I haven’t really done more than just play around with the Voronoi fracture object. Hopefully someone else will offer some help.

As far as I know Element 3D can only import 3D files, but you can download alternate 3D files from your Video Copilot account that includes C4D files for all of the buildings.

April 20, 2017 at 4:31 pm in reply to: How to make toothpaste (or caulking) stick to a wallThe slow vertical movement is due to the speed of the particles, but if you zero that out you lose the interactions which cause the paste to bulge and fold. I don’t think there’s a way to eliminate the movement without also eliminating the folding, so hopefully someone else can chime in with an alternative.

April 20, 2017 at 12:02 am in reply to: How to make toothpaste (or caulking) stick to a wallIf this is for a close-up shot I think the easiest way to simulate that would be to add a camera and rotate it either -90 or +90 degrees in bank, depending upon whether you want the tube to move up or down the “wall” (what would be the former floor).

I would suggest contacting the folks at thinkparticle.com for answers. As you have purchased one of their products, and they are experts with thinking particles, I would hope that they would be able to help solve your issue.

Yes, X-Particles is expensive, so it is definitely hard to justify if you don’t use C4D much. It is a phenomenal plugin, as it does much more than just particles, but it is overkill for only occasional use. Hopefully you will be able to get TP to do what you want.

As Brian commented, TP Follow Spline only affects particles, so the first thing I noticed is that you have no emitter in your example project. I don’t want to give you the impression that I am an expert with TP, because I rarely used it before and have since switched to X-Particles for its much greater capabilities. I can only suggest that you take apart the example from the Content Browser and swap out your own splines, etc., until you understand how it works.
Hopefully some TP experts will chime in.

I use X-Particles myself, so I was only making a suggestion as I have very limited knowledge of TP. I do know that TP Toolkit Pro from thinkparticle.com has an attractor, along with many other added tools. You might want to check that out.

There is a TP Move On Surface setup in the Studio > Presets > Thinking Particles Presets > Setups folder of the Content Browser. Perhaps that will do what you want.
