I made the same mistake and accidentally closed the project panel. I am on a Mac. I tried going to Workspace>Reset Current Workspace but the Project Panel did not reopen. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. The problem does go away when I turn off the lighting effect. I’ll have to work on another way to get the subject better lit. Cheers, Jim.
