Yeah I always used to think RAID 5 was the best balance..but I’ve recently been reading that (if you have enough drives in the RAID) RAID 10 is far superior…apparently RAID 5 has quite a low write speed, but not a bad read speed which is why I’m wondering if 5 might be better for capture/media drive and RAID 10 on project/render stuff??
RAID 10 is supposed to be as fast as RAID 0, but it has same redundancy as RAID 1. I don’t know what to believe!
