I couldn’t find any advanced 3D motion tracking YouTube videos Georg.

Most YouTube 3D graphic examples are not for Vegas software.

I know how to setup the shots for most news TV shows so I think I can match a static 3D prospective to the shot.

What I haven’t learned yet is how to motion track the 3D to the pans and zooms used in network news shows.

Maybe Blender 3D uses a 30 fps timeline to track motion so can align it to the news program in post?

Side Note: Nasty less than and greater than ascii keeps showing up while I write here. Once my whole message disappeared so I’m writing them in a email program and pasting them here. Odd…

That’s what I’m working on Francois, except using multiple camera angles, like a real news show.

The link to the 3D graphics listed above, has a much higher resolution and picture detail. For $84 it’s a good deal.

Nice job putting together the video!

Well Francois, I have tried HitFlim and found it to be like NewBlueFX. It’s nothing like a 3D graphic artist would use. I need to use ready made 3D renderings like this News TV studio, https://www.pond5.com/3d-models/item/91443270-news-tv-studio. The artist that created the 3D studio can customize it if that’s what I need.

You are correct Paul, it is Blender.org – Maybe I had too many Margaritas last night? Was it a blender bender… Sorry, it’s the only reason I could come up with, for the error. Thanks!

Have you used Blender for 3D rendering? I found this great 3D news TV studio, https://www.pond5.com/3d-models/item/91443270-news-tv-studio

The 2D studios only let you shoot one camera shots and the graphics are not that great. The 3D stuff “Looks Real.”

I’m gearing up for on demand video production and it would cost me over $25K to build that Desk and Backdrop and it would not be portable. I need to go where the talent is because they are not coming to Davenport to be my host on the show 😉

    Hi Abraham,

Nope. It still looked the same when I went to edit it. You need to change the format from “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=” to the “https://www.youtu.be” code. You can’t embed the “watch?v=” anymore. Some videos will not load because they are restricted to run “locally,” on YouTube.com domain only.

Note: When I posted this to you, I listed the links using the old “watch?v=” format and the did not work on your site. Only the https://www.youtu.be links showed the video.

[John Rofrano] “Then use those two PAL streams to author your PAL Blu-ray disc with DVD Architect Pro.”

It’s a plan. Sounds like you have been at this business about as long as I have, but you have Way more practice with Vegas than me. Problem solved. Thanks for the Help!

I’ve been poking at this nest to see if there where any Sony programmers here. I see this “Creative” Cow is more on the user side. I was hoping to get some changes made to Vegas. I guess this is not like MSDN.

    Thanks All…

PS: I tried to get that “q” quote thing to work but I had to fake it. The “Read More” only talks about embedding IMG’s. I may be new here but I can read 😉

You seem to infer “Smart Rendering” is the job of the end-user? It’s not. Error trapping is the job of the programmer. If the software can’t convert from NTSC to PAL, tell me up front by not giving me the option in the Menu. Don’t make me wait 20 minutes. I have a life…

And if it’s my responsibility to “Render Smartly,” at least link me to some help doc that explains what I need to do to accomplish the task. Maybe I need to send a DVD to my buddy in Germany. Do you want me to send him a DVD player too?

BTW: The Sony .mts raw file was shot in Blu-ray mode –

I tried 50i and 24p templates and the 50i would not play at all. The 24p blinked on and off every couple seconds. The software did not make 60 fps into 50 or 24 well. I wish I could find a program that would show the Metadata for a .ISO file so I could see what went wrong. The program should say “This isn’t going to work, buddy,” and save me 20 minutes.

May 11, 2015 at 4:01 pm in reply to: “Smart Rendering” question.

Why can’t we all just get along? .MPG, .MTS, .MP4, .OGG Where will it end? I just spent an hour trying to make Google “Like” my Mobile web pages… Now my Sony Blu-Ray doesn’t like to play my 1080 24P video on my Sony 1080P TV that was produced on Sony Vegas. Do I need to buy Sony Electrify?

You might think, if everything is made by one manufacture, the “Smart Rendering” would already be built into the choices. Not So… I can pick “Blu-ray 1920X1080-60i, 16Mbps video stream” from Sony’s video template for Burn Blu-ray Disk Menu that nooo-body can play.

And you don’t know it will not play for 20 minutes while the software makes something that will not play. NOT-smart…

I shoot all the video on a Sony 1080p Cmos camera at 60fps and it looks great on my monitor. Sure wish others could see it (lol)

BTW: When I choose the above mentioned odd video template, the description box on the menu shows “Video: 29.970 fps, 1920×1080 Upper field first, YUV, 16 Mbps” which should work but it will now play.

I’m ready for something “Smart,” Please…
