I can’t wait to switch, from 0.5 to 0.6, but I have to wait till I get two projects out.

[John Davidson] “They got rid of the video animations selection from within the clip that I constantly click on – yay!”

I’m with you there. I hated the “feature”.
I wish they had focused on the color board a bit and delivered key framing for masks…shutting off corrections without having to go back to the inspector.
But overall it looks like a nice evolution.

  • [Baz Leffler] ” I suspect for similar reasons why Apple will one day (soon) be filing for a divorce with the rest of the world. “

I see Wes Anderson directing that story. Jason Schwartzman arguing before the judge.

  • [craig slattery] “I just want to be clear, are you saying you don’t like it?

I know what you mean about Mr. Amorphous.
I’ve grown tired of trying to read his tea leaves.

  • I’m finding it more fun every project I start in X…painfully aware of things like no trackable masks that Bret mentioned, and about a hundred other obvious things that need to grow up now.

Because it is a very slick interface, once you adapt, because it does so much, so well, once you adapt; I have great hopes for what it will do when they really get at the detail stuff.
Which hopefully they’ve been doing for 6 months now.
    Waiting for the upgrade.

What the hell, I’ll weigh in.
This sounds like a great week for a big update.

[Tim Wilson] “And for the record, my gut tells me that the next release will be massive. “

I’m thinking the same thing given their last communique and the time it’s taking. There are so many small things that need evolving and a few big things that really need to happen, that I won’t even try and speculate. But I’m hopeful that they’ve been listening and have had ample time to get this closer to the kind of grown-up app it could be at the 1+ year mark.

It will be nice to get MXF support for the new C300.

Anxious to see the new update.

[Gary Huff] “In your opinion. “

Of course it. This is a freaking opinion forum.

[Herb Sevush] “The very definition of “hubris.””

    Don’t be so judgmental Herb.

I’d just call it exceedingly confident beyond the point of reason.
