Gary, first of all I have to say how much the Vegas 5 Companion has been a help to me. It is well worth the money – the first time you have a problem it has paid for itself.

I stopped the looping by experimenting and right clicked on the file in the time line, went to switch, and de selected the check infront of loop. That did it.

I would like to know where the text dialog box is though so I can learn what you are talking about.

No kidding the DVD has got to be the best 100-bucks I have spent in a long time – what a reference.

    VV Editor Guy,

Thank you, I sucessfully rendered to a jpeg sequence.(great directions) I got 460 jpg’s. The part that I am unfamiliar with is as you stated, “Then reinsert the JPEGs into the timeline, making sure the duration of each JPEG is correct for the framerate of your project”.

I guess I can just drop the jpg’s back into the timeline one by one in order (is there a easier way) but the two steps below I am for sure not clear on.

    1. I don’t know how to find out or set the duration of each jpg?
    2. Where would I check for the the frame rate? Do you mean the 30 fps it was a NTSC uncompressed .mov?

    Thanks so much,
    Jimesyco

Yes, but this only will play the video file in print video to Dv mode. An option under tools. You can not pause the video and advance it frame to frame. It just plays (prints to dv) or you can cancel it. On or off.

I am trying to advance my timeline “frame by frame” and see it in my NTSC monitor. I am thinking there is a selection or tool somewhere in the software but I can’t find it.

Can you assest me further in a way I can advance the file in the time threw the NTSC monitor frame by frame (like control it with the left and right arrows keys advancing frame by fram)?

    Thanks Jim
