Pardon my ignorance but in rescaling HD to 800 x 600 will I not end up with pickle heads and lower resolution?

    Cheers,

    Thomas,

    Thank you for your response!

Yes, to maintain the same aspect ratio as the original I was thinking of downsizing 1920 x 1080 to 768 x 408 to fit the native SVGA specs (800 x 600)of the projector. (simply by multiplying the original sizes by 0.4)

    Boris,

Thank you for your quick response. I want to thank you personally for keeping the M100 program alive and robust. Its been an indispensible and reliable tool for me all these years.

I’ve been afraid of using Red because I have been more of Producer/Editor and saw myself as a hack compositor. With some time between jobs I finally tied myself to a chair and started to learn it.

I’m actually having fun learning Red and have achieved some fabulous effects with your program in a couple of days. Thank you for contributing to my creativity, my clients’ happiness and to keeping food on the table for my family.

    Cheers,

    Jim Brodie

There are a number of solutions for transfer. I’ve been told
that Magic Bullet Grinder is the best.

    https://www.redgiantsoftware.com/products/all/magic-bullet-grinder/

or the Canon EOS plug-in for FCP

    https://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/5/0200001095/01/ce1100x.dmg.zip

If you are working with double sytem audio use pluraleyes.com software
to sync the camera audio to the good audio recorded seperately.

    Good luck,

You might try exporting in another codec where you can alter more settings

    range or program

    Field dominance: progressive
    Colour Range – 0-255

    Options

    Settings
Compression type: none, motion jpeg A or Media100HD (animation sometimes introduces jitter)

Key frame: 300 frames (or blank – when compression is set for

    Compressor native
    check Deinterlace Source Video

This is how I prepare segments for web streaming. Hopefully it might give you an idea on how to proceed. Often the Motion jpeg-a or animation codec work best.

Did you find the same problems when set to 1080i or 720i, because when I encountered these problems with very detailed shots involving pans this seemed to solve the issue?

    Cheers,

    Jim
