Yes, I figured that out after relooking at the numbers and noticing the first 11 digits were the same as the original and went to the website to register them. Thanks for letting me know as I easily could’ve missed that. I originally thought that the system generated the numbers via the internet as the format changed. Obviously that’s not the case.

At any rate, I’m up and running now. Appreciate all the help from everyone as a get wobble and stand up with a new program to learn. I’ll be like a sponge here to be sure.

You wouldn’t happen to know how to re-display the EULA or have a link to it? I certainly want to be in compliance and must have missed it by clicking too quickly. I’ve checked the Maxon website and can’t seem to find it (one would think this would be available as it is a pre-purchase interest to be sure!) Regarding my earlier statement of the expired numbers. I was incorrect as I was not entering them correctly. The new permanent ones have not arrived as I only just figured out I needed to fill out the web form to request the permanent ones. (I’d assumed the shortend numbers were the permanent ones until I noticed they were the same).

Sure would be nice if Maxon would allow this such as an option for a hardware key like I use for Lightwave and Logic Pro as an example. Yes the fear of loosing the key is always there but the freedom it allows to leverage the big machine when stationary and the notebook when on the road is worth the pain. Having the option to convert to a hardware key for this purpose would be nice in my opinion. (leave the default without as I assume those with only one computer would appreciate not having their USB ports used up. Other than that, I’m thrilled with the program thusfar and really excited to learn all I can about this new world (for me) of the 3D.

I tried that but it said they were expired?? I entered what I think are the permanent serial numbers (not the ones that came on the sheet with the box, but the ones that showed up after I initially installed under the help/personalize menu. As I’ve only had this software for a week, I’m assuming it’s something besides expiration.

I looked up to see what credits you could get on the web for your existing products. I plan on upgrading one of my CS2.3 licenses to Production Studio for the 999.00 price that I see listed. But when I looked to see how you could get there I didn’t see anything listed. I then looked to see if you could upgrade to CS2 first and then make the jump there for cheaper and it was actually more expensive to do that by like 100 bucks then just buying it. You might want to contact Adobe on the phone and see if there is something available for you. But at any rate, I’ve loved my CS2 suites for my little 2 person company. I own two copies and it was worth every penny we’ve paid over the years. Adobe rocks and their inclusion of the the Macromedia family was genius. These folks are going places to be sure.
