Peter Thomas narrates the show Forensic Files on Court TV (well, now TruTV.) His voice is my favorite part of the show! I think he works great in these BK spots, too.

I just tested your problem and could not recreate it. When I change the color label of one of my clips it changes in the sequence as well. Are you still having this problem? If so, what version of FCP are you using?

I just tested this out in Final Cut 5.1.4 and you should be getting your original image quality. I did exactly what you’re talking about for a project last week and it worked fine!
I hope someone else can post with some more info – I just wanted to let you know that it’s not normal.

I think if you bring the average and maximum bit rate down for the MPEG-2 in Compressor the dvd should play better in your client’s computer. You can do that in the Quality tab in the Inspector.

Hey Rita!
I was having this same problem and found that deleting any freeze frames I created within FCP enabled me to export an EDL. Go figure.
