This may be off-topic, but I’m hopeful that someone out there can help:

My client uses WinDVD to playback dvds on his pcs and has had the audio out of sync with video on the dvds I’ve made for him. I created them by sending the sequence export to compressor, compressed best 90 minute with dolby for the audio, build and format with DVDSP.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Bob

And how did the DVDs played in your system? Make sure, when you sent to Compressor things that you will bring later to DVDSTP, that you check “Add DVD Studio pro Metadata” in the Extras tab.

    [BobP] “Any ideas?”

Do the DVD’s play correctly on your system and in a regular DVD player?

If so, then the problem is your client’s computer can’t keep up with the video and audio playback off the DVD.

    Thanks Guys,
I should have mentioned that it played fine on my computer – haven’t tried it on a set top player yet (have become lazy and/or confident). Of course the client assures me that all other dvds play just dandy on his new HP laptop.
    Thanks again for any suggestions…

Try one or two more players or computers. If its plays OK just say your client to buy a better lap top:-)

I think if you bring the average and maximum bit rate down for the MPEG-2 in Compressor the dvd should play better in your client’s computer. You can do that in the Quality tab in the Inspector.

    Good luck!
