the firewire drives are used for dumping off the P2. You need something like firestore or a laptop to capture straight to disk.

The NTSC one will do 120p60fps. Im sure youll be able to conform the footage for 24fps slow mo. I already do it with the dvx-100 when i shoot 30p for a 24p sequence. The change is subtle but technically its the same

Jan has stated on dvxuser.com that the 1080 24p will be recorded in the same way the dvx does 24p. At 24 clean frames recorded at 60i with an advance pulldown. So i assume the output to dvcproHD tape would be similar. 24p with a pulldown.
