    Hey,

What do you mean 2gigs per core? Since there is 12 cores I should be set up with 24gigs of ram?

    Hey Joel,

Thanks for getting back to me, sorry for the long reply back.

So see if I got this straight, it’s a 12 core machine(12 instances???) I set the “Share this computer as” to “QuickCluster with services” check the “Services” to share and managed. Then the “Options for selected services” to 11 Instances. Then I should be go to go?

    Thanks for any more help…

    Hey Warren,

Thanks for getting back to me. The old mac was a two 2.66 duel core processor system. So by jumping down to a single processor quad core you will definitely notice a big difference then? Thanks for any help

Yes I sure have, the whole computer is up to date… I will give the ProRes option at try. Is it possible that this computer just works this way??? Just seems wired that a brand new comp would be this slow with 16gbs of memory…

    Hey,

You know I have changed the time line setting to 30, still no go.
What is wired is this- if I export a QT movie self contained and leave the Current Setting along it looks just a the time line does perfect. As so as I change it up that is were the problem starts and forget about trying to use QT conversion.
