Cross dissolve issue
Posted by Jesse Austin on April 30, 2010 at 4:51 pmcan some one out there tell me why this is happening????
I have two HD 1920×1080 clips both have been color corrected. I have placed a 1.15 cross dissolve between them, render it out looks perfect. Once I export the time line, during the cross dissolve the video is un color corrected once the next frame of incoming video happens you can notice the difference between the two. I have tried all different types of export settings an not go
Please helpJess

April 30, 2010 at 5:31 pm[jesse austino] “23.98
Compressor: xd cam EX 1080p30 “Why a 24p timeline when you shot 30p? I’d start there.

April 30, 2010 at 7:07 pmHey,
You know I have changed the time line setting to 30, still no go.
What is wired is this- if I export a QT movie self contained and leave the Current Setting along it looks just a the time line does perfect. As so as I change it up that is were the problem starts and forget about trying to use QT conversion.Jess

April 30, 2010 at 7:15 pmI wanted to get the best possible settings, Prores422HQ. The clip will be projected at 720×1208

I assume you mean 1280×720.
Fully render your timeline, then export a reference movie (current settings, leave recompress all frames and make self contained UNchecked) then bring that movie in to COmpressor and use that to make a 1280×720 ProRes 23.976 fps movie. ProRes will be just fine, no need for HQ in this instance.
